Saturday evening the temperature and wind chills will become dangerously cold. This intense cold will last overnight Saturday and all through the day Sunday.
Everyone is predicting extreme cold, -20 to -40F wind chill temps. That is just plain too cold to have any staff outside shoveling. The wind is supposed to be blowing hard overnight Saturday and Sunday, only adding to the chill. There very well could be drifting on many sidewalks between Saturday night and Monday morning.
We will have staff in trucks but we won’t be dispatching shovel crews Saturday night or Sunday due to the temperatures. We hope that our association members understand that due to the extreme cold, we do not feel its safe to have our staff outdoors.
We plan to resume regular business on Monday morning.
